From 'Canva Draft' to Institutional MVP in Record Time

The Challenge

A high-profile institutional finance client needed a way to use our game, Beat the Fed, for early-career recruiting and student engagement. However, the platform lacked a formalized 'Player Performance Report' that could translate gameplay into hireable insights. We had to build this feature from scratch on a compressed timeline with limited data availability.

My Role

As the lead Product Manager, I was responsible for the end-to-end delivery of this reporting tool. I bridged the gap between the client's high-stakes requirements and our engineering team's technical constraints.

How It Got Built

To meet the deadline, I bypassed traditional slow-growth cycles and used a 'vibe-coding' and AI-forward approach:

01Canva

Step 01: Ideation

Rapid visual brainstorming to define the report structure, key metrics, and layout before writing a single line of code.

Step 02: PRD Generation

Used AI to transform the visual concepts into a comprehensive Product Requirements Document, defining data models and edge cases in minutes instead of days.

Step 03: High-Fidelity Hand-off

Translated the PRD into Figma wireframes for precise developer hand-off, ensuring alignment on every UI state before engineering began.

What It Delivered

Zero to One

Successfully launched a custom reporting suite that didn't exist weeks prior.

Institutional Alignment

Met all client requirements for their recruiting cycle, providing them with actionable student performance data.

Efficiency

Used AI to reduce the 'documentation-to-dev' time, allowing the team to focus on building rather than back-and-forth planning.
